Meni-One F DV15

We have adopted soft hydrophobic acrylic, a highly reputed IOL material for human use, for the first-ever use for dog IOLs.

As determined by the surgeon, the lens may be folded and inserted through a 4.1 mm incision or may be inserted through a 6.5 mm incision while maintaining its shape. The Meni-One F may also be inserted via an even smaller incision(about 3.2 mm)using a special injector.

The optic material is soft hydrophobic acrylic.
Soft hydrophobic acrylic has been used for more than 10 years for intraocular lenses for human use.
A sharp edge, which is expected to reduce the incidence of after-cataracts, is used.
The lens may be folded using forceps and inserted through an incision of about 4 mm.
The lens may be inserted through a 3.2 mm incision using the injector.
The haptics material is PVDF.
PVFD (polyvinylidene fluoride) is excellent in flexibility and stability.
It is blue in color and, therefore, offers excellent visibility and usability in surgery.

Meni-One Corneal Bandage One, made from “material with high water content”, can be used in a broad range of dog and cat breeds. This product is a therapeutic contact lens for veterinary use that has a bandage effect to protect damaged corneas from stimuli and dryness while it eases intense pain and promotes epithelial regeneration.

Colored dots are manufactured
by over-film method so they do not
touch the cornea directly.
The over-film manufacturing method keeps the colored pigment from touching the cornea directly. Even when the lenses are in place, this feature guards the pigment closely and prevents it from being exposed at the surface.

Indications and Efficacies

  • Eases corneal pain from entropion and protects the cornea
  • Provides relief from corneal abrasion
  • Alleviates corneal ulcers
  • Alleviates descemetoceles accompanying corneal ulcers (3 mm or smaller)
  • Protects cornea until and after transplantation of conjunctival flap or cornea
  • Protects cornea after removal of loose epithelium in intractable cases of corneal epithelial erosion, as well as after multipoint keratotomy.
  • Prevents readhesion after separation of conjunctival adhesion to the cornea due to rhinotracheitis in cats.


  • Exceptional oxygen permeability owing to thin design, and high Dk value from use of material with high water content.
